Senior Systems Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer (Lead)Marathon TS is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer (Lead) to support a major DoD Joint Program Office IT Support Services program. This role provides senior-level technical leadership across enterprise infrastructure, systems engineering, and network services supporting a globally distributed, mission-critical defense environment.The engineer will be responsible for planning, integrating, maintaining, and securing complex IT systems across hardware, software, and network domains. This position supports full lifecycle operations including design, implementation, sustainment, modernization, and cybersecurity compliance in accordance with DoD standards.Primary Responsibilities:Integrate, plan, coordinate, and facilitate enterprise information system activitiesLead hardware and software upgrades, system design, and network development initiativesSupport maintenance, performance, and security of enterprise networksAnalyze organizational IT requirements (short- and long-term) from operational and strategic perspectivesEnsure system availability, continuity, and information assuranceRecommend and support continuous process improvement initiativesPerform formal software verification, validation, and automated testingImplement and maintain security tools and applications (e.g., Websense, ISA, McAfee HBSS)Administer SQL and Oracle database environmentsDevelop and debug software in real-time, embedded, and multi-processor environmentsMaintain compliance with DoD Information Assurance policies and proceduresLead small technical teams (?25 personnel) through solution design, development, integration, and deploymentRequired Technical Experience:VMware Infrastructure / vSphereStorage platforms: NetApp, EMC, SAN, NAS, Tape ArraysMicrosoft Exchange & Active Directory (Windows 2003/2008 environments)Core network services: DNS, DHCP, PKIWeb collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Oracle WebCenter Interaction)Java development (JDK, Eclipse, LEWIT, Kona)Linux and Windows operating systemsObject-Oriented software designCOTS integration (Oracle, WebMethods, ClearCase)Education & Experience Requirements:MA/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical disciplineOR BA/BS + 6 additional years of experience in lieu of MA/MS15+ years total experience in a relevant engineering or science field4+ years in project planning, solution development, testing, and technical documentation5+ years Microsoft Exchange experience5+ years Active Directory administration5+ years core network services administrationCertifications (Required / Preferred):IAT Level III (DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant) — or ability to obtain within 6 months of TOACCNA and/or CCNPMCITP / MCTS (or modern Microsoft role-based equivalent such as Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102), Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Windows Server Hybrid Administrator (AZ-800/801), or Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500))#cjjobs Marathon TS is committed to the development of a creative, diverse and inclusive work environment.
