Senior Systems Engineer

Senior Systems EngineerTorch Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a team utilizing expertise in mission/software assurance, system architecture, and interface design. This position supports the development of reliable, secure, and high-quality hardware/software systems while contributing to architectural decisions and designing robust interfaces for seamless integration across Missile Defense System (MDS) platforms.As a Senior Systems Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:Participate in hardware/software engineering activities, including mission/software assurance, code reviews, static analysis, testing, and engineering reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.Provide input to programs on software architectures that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality, security, and performance.Ensure hardware/software engineering and assurance processes are acceptable and reports are assessed.Provide technical guidance by assessing objective evidence for hardware/software engineering.Required Qualifications:U.S. Citizenship.Master's degree in a relevant STEM field or equivalent experience10+ years of related professional experience.Active Secret Security Clearance.Extensive experience in hardware/software engineering processes.Extensive experience in hardware/software assurance processes.Experience assessing objective evidence for hardware/software engineering.Strong professional communication and organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications:12 years of related professional experience.Missile Defense Agency (MDA) experience.Knowledge of Agile Engineering Design.Knowledge of Digital Engineering principles.Knowledge of the Missile Defense System (elements, products, and capabilities).Schedule: Fulltime, M-FWork Location: Onsite, Huntsville, AlabamaTravel: 0-10%Relocation Assistance Available: NoPosition Contingent Upon Award of Contract: NoBenefits:Torch Technologies is proud to offer a stable and professional work environment, a competitive salary, and an excellent, comprehensive benefit package including: ESOP participation, 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, Health Saving Accounts and Health Reimbursement Accounts, EAP, education assistance, paid time off, and holidays.
