Senior System AdministratorThe Senior System Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting our Information Technology infrastructure. They work closely with various cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance, security and reliability, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.P03-Senior (Career Level): Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
Typically requires 4 -7 years of related experience. This is a full-time role with on-site and hybrid opportunities available.ResponsibilitiesAdministering, installing, and troubleshooting a variety of operating systemsPerforming systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenanceScheduling, installing, and testing system software upgradesConfiguring software and resolving technical problemsMonitoring system performance and ensuring the reliability and availability of critical servicesManaging user accounts, permissions and access controls in accordance with security policiesDeveloping and maintaining documentation for system configurations, processes and proceduresCollaborating with cross-functional teams to support application deployment and troubleshootingProviding mentorship to junior system administratorsStaying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance system performanceAssisting in developing and enforcing IT policies and proceduresRequirements4-7 years of experience in IT (system, network, or database administration)Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, or MacOSKnowledge of configuration management tools (Intune, JAMF, Ansible, etc)Working knowledge of virtualization and containers (VMware, Proxmox, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)Experience with Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) i.e. Terraform, etc.Knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocolsSystem administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plusMust be able to come into the office as needed
