Responsibilities


The Senior Superintendent is primarily responsible for:



  • Organizing work, managing field staff, implementing OSHA and Beck Safety Manual requirements, determining work methods, scheduling, meeting cost control goals, and ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.

  • Maintaining quality of workmanship and assigning work activities to achieve economical, safe, and efficient execution on or ahead of schedule.

  • Leading large or integrated projects and serving as the lead Superintendent when appropriate.

  • Guiding professional development of sub‑superintendents, promoting Lean Construction Practices, and fostering team performance.

  • Supporting integrated delivery, participating in recruiting field supervision, and contributing to integrated project success.

  • Participating in monthly financial forecasting with the lead Project Manager, controlling and reporting project progress.

  • Negotiating with subcontractors, promoting outside relationships, and representing Beck’s integration model.

  • Managing strengths and weaknesses of project team members to maximize performance and efficiency.

  • Planning and executing construction projects, overseeing project plans and schedules, and ensuring completion on time and within budget.

  • Inspections and compliance with Beck's Quality Assurance Program and safety regulations.

  • Budget management: estimating costs, tracking expenses, and communicating with stakeholders.

  • Identifying and addressing construction problems, making decisions on scope, timelines, and budgets.

  • Acting as Project Lean Champion: developing and presenting supervisor training, promoting team health, and mentoring for career growth.

  • Assisting in project pursuits, reviewing scopes of work, and leading the close‑out process, including punch list completion and 1‑year warranty walks.



Qualifications



  • 12+ years of field coordination or relevant commercial construction project experience.

  • Experience working with local healthcare systems in Georgia.

  • College graduate degree relevant to construction.

  • Familiarity with Synchro, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, Revit, or comparable construction technologies (preferred).

Physical Demands


Frequent use of a computer and office equipment; frequent ascension/descension of ladders and stairs; work in various outdoor weather conditions; lifting equipment up to 50 lbs; constant communication with subcontractors, vendors, and project team; ability to move around uneven job‑site surfaces; day spent largely standing and maintaining consistent attendance.
