CV Engineering is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and analysis of structural systems for complex industrial and heavy facility projects. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys hands-on technical leadership, multidisciplinary coordination, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and certification of concrete foundations, structural steel systems, building structures, and equipment supports.
- Perform and review structural calculations and designs in compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.
- Seal drawings and calculations under an active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Interface directly with clients, vendors, and contractors to support successful project execution.
- Conduct site visits, field verifications, and as-built reviews.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, designers, and drafters.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal design standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (multi-state licensure or ability to obtain is a plus).
- 4+ years of progressive civil/structural engineering experience, preferably in industrial or heavy facility environments.
- Strong knowledge of concrete foundations, structural steel framing, equipment support systems, and building structures.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information and collaborate across disciplines.
Preferred Experience
- Industrial plants, heavy industrial facilities, steel mills, or infrastructure projects.
