What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a multi-discipline engineering team on overhead transmission line projects.
- Manage scope, budget, quality, and schedule to exceed client expectations.
- Serve as Engineer of Record and ensure all designs meet industry standards and codes.
- Collaborate with project leadership, design teams, and stakeholders to solve complex challenges.
- Review and approve design packages, calculations, and construction documents.
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development proposals and cost estimates.
- Travel occasionally for site visits, design reviews, and client meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Based near a local office and able to work onsite 3 days/week.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10–12 years in structural engineering design for high-voltage overhead transmission lines.
- 5+ years in a lead or supervisory role with multidisciplinary project coordination.
- Expertise in PLS-CADD, line routing, structural loading design, and foundation design.
- Previous experience in an engineering consultancy environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license with ability to obtain reciprocity.
- Strong communication skills and ability to represent the company with clients.
Location
Hybrid (3 days onsite & 2 days remote) - Hiring in multiple offices including Chicago, Raleigh, Atlanta, Orlando, Ann Arbor, Minneapolis, Kansas City, College Station, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Portland, Bay Area, and Los Angeles.
Salary
$150,000 - $200,000 depending on location and experience
