Senior Structural Engineer – Nashville, TN
An award-winning, employee-focused structural engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing Nashville office. This is an excellent opportunity to lead challenging projects across manufacturing, distribution, data centers, commercial, adaptive reuse, renovations, and historic structures while mentoring the next generation of engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural design and analysis for a diverse portfolio of building projects.
- Oversee design calculations, construction documents, shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and site observations.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects.
- Perform QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Mentor, develop, and lead junior engineers while contributing to project management and client relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Active PE license (SE preferred).
- 8+ years of structural engineering experience in building design.
- Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, and masonry design for low‑to‑mid‑rise structures.
- Experience with structural analysis software such as Revit, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, RISA, RAM, Tekla Structural Designer, Enercalc, or similar.
- Project management experience and excellent communication skills are required; Revit and client management experience are a plus.
