Senior Structural Engineer | Fulton, MD

LVI Associates is partnering with a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to identify a Senior Structural Engineer for their growing Fulton, MD office. The Opportunity: Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (10+ years' experience) to play a key role in the delivery of complex structural projects while helping to grow and mentor a high-performing team. This individual will work directly with clients, lead project teams, support business development efforts, and contribute to the continued expansion of the structural practice throughout the DC Metro region.

The position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across:

• Institutional facilities
• Utility infrastructure
• Existing building renovations and assessments
• New construction projects

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis, design, and detailing for a wide range of building projects.
• Design steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and existing building structures.
• Manage project teams, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Prepare technical proposals and support business development initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout project lifecycles.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
• Drive quality control and technical excellence across project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• PE or SE license required.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Strong design experience in steel, concrete, and masonry structures.
• Experience with structural software such as:
• RISA
• RAM Structural System
• ETABS
• Enercalc
• AutoCAD
• Revit
• Proven project management and leadership experience.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
