If you'd like to join us on our mission to build the product that legal teams love, let's talk!What you'll do:Serve as the Technical Lead Architect and owner of Ironclad's document and record service, driving the technical strategy and decisions that ensure reliability, scalability, and performancePartner across engineering teams, ensuring the document service unlocks new feature capabilities and AI innovationMentor and provide thoughtful feedback to other engineers and cultivate a culture of engineering excellenceCollaborate cross functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to spec, design, and build features and systemsPartner with quality engineers to define, build and maintain testing strategyGrow your teams by interviewing and recruiting talented engineers to IroncladWork on a modern stack built upon: TypeScript, Node.js, PostgresSQL, Temporal, and Docker containers in Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform (experience with these specific technologies not required)Build and apply AI tools and features to power the future of contract intelligenceWhat we look for:At least 7 years of software experience architecting, building, launching and maintaining complex (backend/platform) systems (a formal degree is not required, we are prioritizing industry experience)Leadership across teams and a drive towards improving overall technical architecture and achieving company-wide goalsPassion for software engineering to build and ship great productExperience leveraging AI tooling across a team to improve execution quality and velocityHands-on experience shipping valuable products to production with real user feedbackA high bar for qualityStrong cross-team communication and collaboration skillsIronclad's Values: drive, intent, integrity, and empathyBase Salary Range: $250,000 - $270,000The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate.
