Position Overview

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, managing cash-related accounting activities, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly close process.
• Perform monthly balance sheet, bank, and cash reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities while ensuring deadlines are met.
• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax returns.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist with cash management and treasury-related activities.
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing supporting documentation.
• Participate in special projects and business initiatives as assigned.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
• 1-6 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and month-end close processes.
• Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
