Senior SQL Server DBAThe SQL Server DBA will be a part of the team responsible for the operational support of project initiatives surrounding the SQL Server Database environments. This position will play an integral role in the maintenance, support and enhancements of business critical applications.What You'll Be DoingMonitor and maintain database securityMigrate databases between servers and various platformsReview database object and create and maintain change controlsAnalyze and resolve SQL Server faultsInvestigate and resolve reported application issues, escalating issues as necessary to the application ownersDesign, develop and implement internal data feeds, data reporting extracts and ETL processes between disparate systemsDocument data flows, application specifications from a DB perspective and system proceduresMonitor relational databases to optimize performance, resource use, backup/recovery, and physical implementationImplement and maintain data distribution and disaster recovery solutions, such as mirroring, replication, and log shippingImplement, create reports and provide general support for SQL Server Reporting servicesSupport highly-available and disaster recovery (HA/DR) database technologies (such as SQL Clustering and SQL Server Availability Groups across multiple data centers)Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basisFlexible to work off-hours, as requiredSkills We're Seeking5+ years of experience with SQL Database administration Stored Procedure Code Development and StandardizationData Integration and Migration (SSIS)Management StudioDatabase Auditing and ControlsPerformance management and tuning, including understanding of SQL execution plans.Experience installing and working with SQL 2012, SQL 2014, SQL 2016 and SQL 2019Nice To Have ExperienceExperience working with and creating reports in SSRSExperience with physical and VMWare SQL configuration from an infrastructure perspectiveExperience working with vendors for 3rd party products and integrationsAbility to translate Logical Data Models into physical structuresExperience working with SentryOne SQL Sentry, RedGate Compliance Manager, IDERA tools, ServiceNow.
