We are rapidly growing our Federal team and are looking for a highly qualified SQL DBAs.Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for defining, supporting, securing, and administering SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance and availability.
You will perform a variety of activities including database management, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security management, diagnostics, and issue resolution. And you will have the opportunity to grow technically and professionally while working in a fast-paced collaborative environment.QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess the following:A minimum of 8 years' experience in database managementProficiency across a wide range of database technologies, including:MS SQLSQL ServerSQL Cluster EnvironmentsMaria DBMySQLPostgreSQLOracleMS AccessExperience creating and managing standalone SQL databasesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve issuesExperience troubleshooting daily SQL Server, SQL Cluster, Oracle, and/or MS Access issues, including error triageExperience troubleshooting application related issues (e.g., MS applications, Oracle applications, etc.) as they relate to database development, support, and managementExperience responding to requests for change (RFCs) for maintenance and/or enhancementsExperience assisting users in creating and building SQL and/or Oracle databasesExperience performing server maintenance, installing software patches, etc.Experience establishing and enforcing database security policies, user access controls, and data encryptionExperience monitoring and optimizing database performanceExperience planning, implementing, and managing backup and recovery strategiesAbility to create and maintain database documentation (e.g., configurations, procedures, processes, policies, etc.)Ability to work individually and as part of a teamStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of management and other stakeholdersAdditional InformationPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent degree.Prior Federal experience.
