The engineer will design scalable, reusable solutions compliant with federal and state guidelines, focusing on modernization efforts using Curam, AWS, J2EE, and integration platforms. This onsite position requires collaboration across program, policy, and technical teams to ensure efficient delivery of Medicaid-related technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design scalable, reusable solutions aligned with federal and state Medicaid guidelines.
- Develop modernization components including AWS-based tools and automated paper application processing.
- Implement API integrations using Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, and similar platforms.
- Utilize low-code/no-code tools for responsive user interface development.
- Translate complex policy rules into technical specifications.
- Provide accurate effort estimates and detailed project plans.
- Facilitate communication between program, policy, and technical teams to minimize misunderstandings and rework.
- Recommend and support system optimization strategies to improve responsiveness and user experience.
- Strong development experience with Curam, AWS, and J2EE technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Medicaid eligibility programs and large Medicaid implementations.
- Knowledge of federal and state Medicaid guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Experience with API development and integration platforms such as Dell Boomi or MuleSoft.
- Ability to design scalable and reusable technical solutions.
- Experience with automated processing of paper application forms.
- Familiarity with low-code/no-code development tools for UI creation.
- Knowledge of application modernization best practices.
- Skills in optimizing system performance and user experience.
- This is an onsite role requiring work from the DHHS office in Raleigh, NC.
- Must be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including program, policy, and technical staff.
- Regular shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
