About the Opportunity
A highly successful investment management firm is seeking an Enterprise Software Engineer to join a team responsible for building and supporting critical technology platforms used across core business functions. This is a hands-on engineering role with direct exposure to operational, financial, and investment stakeholders.
The position offers full ownership of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through production deployment, while partnering closely with business users to solve complex operational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise software applications supporting critical business functions
- Own projects end-to-end from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing enhancement
- Build scalable, reliable, and performant systems using Python and object-oriented programming languages
- Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand workflows and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve architecture, development practices, and shared technology platforms
- Create tested, production-grade software that supports decision-making and operational efficiency
- Contribute to system reliability, scalability, and long-term platform development

Must Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- 4+ years of software engineering experience within financial services
- Strong production-level development experience with Python
- Experience with an object-oriented language such as Java or C#
- Experience working with SQL databases
- Exposure to at least one financial asset class
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
