Senior Software Engineer .Location: Washington, DC.Direct Placement- $135kClient: GSAThe Senior Software Engineer /Solutions Architect will be a key member of an Enterprise Application Implementation project team and is responsible for the overall design of the application and mapping client business requirements to systems/technical requirements.Prior Federal Agency experience is required and ideally someone who has had experience with Digital Signature such as DocuSign or Adobe.The Solution Architect works as a team member along with the Project Manager, Technical SME(S), and supporting team members to deliver the complete solution for the customer. This individual willProvide expert guidance in analysis and design of information technology architectures, technology analyses, systems architectures, and strategic planningWork with various teams to support cultural change, software distribution, security, data distribution, and business process impactWork with delivery teams to build component solutions or major solutions of various sizes and complexitiesProduce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements both at an aggregate and at a per-system / deployment levelParticipate in process flow analysis and process redesignShare best practices and be consultative to clients and business lines throughout duration of the projectComplete and co/implement a configuration guide, along with authoring required technical documentation in support of the projectActively participate in the UAT effortsAssist in training design, documentation and delivery effortsParticipate in and lead, when needed, project meetings with the customer(s) / business linesThe Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track API and Web Service integrations, developing documentation and briefing materials, and readily collaborate with the other team members on additional tasks as assigned. Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast moving environment. Candidate will also meet the following criteria:B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent preferred8+ years of enterprise IT application experience that includes at least 5 years of hands-on software development, DevOps engineering, or systems architectureExperience working across both modern and legacy technologiesExperience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraintsExperience with Digital Signature technologies will be a plusExperience with Agile development methodologies and practices and understand how to adjust them to meet a customer environment will be a plusSome degree of familiarity with / knowledge of Alfresco EDMS will be a plusPreferably demonstrated experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle
