This role emphasizes innovation in areas such as logic, memory, heterogeneous integration, chip cooling, and image processing technologies.ResponsibilitiesLead software development for novel semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including control systems and automation softwareDesign and implement software for image processing and computer vision applications in semiconductor inspection and metrologyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software subsystemsDevelop and maintain software requirements, architecture, and documentationSupport procurement and evaluation of equipment sub-systemsParticipate in research and development activities to advance semiconductor manufacturing capabilitiesOther related functions as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related disciplineMinimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering or related fieldsProficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and MATLABExperience with control and simulation tools such as SimulinkStrong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, build systems, and version controlDemonstrated experience with software requirements and specificationsHands-on experience with image processing or computer vision algorithms and toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to work in collaborative, fast-paced environmentsPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree or higher in a relevant technical fieldExperience in research or start-up environmentsPrior experience in software development for hardware control and instrumentationExperience with image processing libraries (e.g., OpenCV, MATLAB Image Processing Toolbox)Familiarity with machine vision systems used in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturingExperience developing real-time or embedded software systemsSalary RangeTIE Pays Industry-Competitive SalariesWorking ConditionsWork is performed on-site in a scientific research environment, with dynamic work conditions and frequent interruptions.May work around standard office conditionsRepetitive use of a keyboard at a workstationUse of manual dexterity (ex: using a mouse)Work ShiftMonday – Friday, flexible between 7am and 6pmWork outside standard office hours could be required on an occasional basis during peak periods and special events.Required MaterialsResume/CV3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisorLetter of interest (optional)
