About the Role
Senior Software Engineer (Backend)
Location: Tempe, AZ (Hybrid | 4 days onsite)
Compensation: Up to $140,000 base + bonus
Relocation: Available

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join a cloud-native development team building APIs and platforms that support mobile applications, customer portals, websites, internal systems, and third-party integration's.
This is a hands-on role with a strong backend focus (80% backend / 20% frontend) working in an AWS serverless environment.
Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices on AWS
* Develop cloud-native applications using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and related services
* Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders on technical solutions
* Gather requirements, provide project updates, and translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
* Support testing, UAT, deployments, and CI/CD processes
* Lead projects, mentor junior developers, and perform code reviews
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
* 5+ years of software development experience (6-8 preferred)
* Strong AWS Serverless and microservices experience
* Experience with Python and/or Node.js
* Frontend experience with React, React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, and GraphQL
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines
* SQL and NoSQL database experience
* Proven ability to lead projects and mentor team members
* Recent U.S.-based project experience preferred
