Responsibilities
We are looking for a passionate software developer to join the Virtuoso place and route infrastructure team to improve our place- and route-foundation. The role involves using advanced math, computer science, graph theory, and machine learning to solve the routing problem.
Qualifications
- Basic Requirements: BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field; 10+ years of experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, SciKit; basic understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector databases; comfortable working with LLM APIs; solid grasp of machine‑learning concepts (supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, computer vision); proficiency in Python essential; C++ also valuable.
- Domain Knowledge: Analog circuits design and layout, and VLSI design flow preferred.
- Problem‑Solving & Collaboration: Ability to work in a fast‑paced research and development environment; strong analytical thinking and debugging skills; experience with rapid prototyping in open‑source AI/ML projects.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary range for California: $154,000 to $286,000. Eligibility for incentive compensation: bonus, equity.
