About the Opportunity
We are partnering with an innovative, well-funded Series B startup in San Francisco that is building cutting-edge AI-powered technology and rapidly expanding its engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join a high-calibre team and make a meaningful impact on the company’s products, architecture, and technical direction.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, production-grade software solutions using Python.
- Build and improve AI agents and agent-based workflows.
- Take ownership of complex technical projects from concept through production.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Solve challenging technical problems in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Build reliable systems that can scale alongside the company’s growth.
Required Qualifications
- 2–6 years of strong professional software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience developing or working with AI agents and agentic systems.
- Strong Python programming experience, including building production-grade applications.
- Experience working within a well-funded Series A, B, C, D, or E startup is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated career stability, professional growth, and meaningful ownership in previous roles.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, system-design skills, and software-engineering best practices.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, ideally from a top-30 U.S. university.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and ownership-driven startup environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Currently located in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.
