Senior Software EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join a top financial client's Business Rules Engineering & Strategy team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining rule-based systems that support critical business decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java development, rule authoring, SQL, and Agile methodologies.
This is a long-term contract opportunity with a hybrid work arrangement in St. Louis, Missouri.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain applications using JavaCreate, manage, and optimize business rules using rule authoring toolsCollaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutionsWrite and optimize SQL queries for data access and reporting needsParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectivesWork closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and architectsEnsure high-quality code through best practices, code reviews, and testingSupport production systems and troubleshoot issues as neededRequired QualificationsStrong hands-on experience in Java developmentExperience with Rule Authoring and business rule enginesProficiency in SQLExperience working in an Agile environmentAbility to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
