Our client seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build scalable, secure, and resilient platform services. You will design backend services and APIs, embed automated testing into CI/CD workflows, and operate within an AI-driven SDLC. You will collaborate across QA, Security, and Infrastructure to enable reliable releases, observability, and incident response while contributing to engineering best practices.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $45.00 to $53.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain automated unit, integration, and smoke tests to improve delivery confidence and reduce production risk.
- Embed automated testing and quality gates into CI/CD workflows for reliable releases.
- Design and develop backend services and APIs supporting release engineering, DevOps pipelines, and system integrations.
- Operate in an AI-driven SDLC and use AI code assistants.
- Collaborate with QA, Security, and Infrastructure for seamless deployment and performance.
- Implement monitoring and alerting to meet SLAs and support rapid incident response.
- Contribute to engineering best practices and knowledge sharing across the platform domain.
- Support platform releases through validation, monitoring, and post-deployment oversight.
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in C# and .NET.
- Experience with Azure and AWS cloud-native technologies and Azure migration.
- Automation testing tools experience such as Postman, Bruno, SpecFlow, or Cucumber.
- End-to-end test automation for APIs, batch processing, and big data validation.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth2, and microservices architecture.
- Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.
- DevOps tools familiarity such as Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
- Containers and observability tools such as Datadog or Prometheus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and meet the stated location requirement.
