Onsite Full Time Software Architecture & Engineering

We are looking for a full-stack engineer to join the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Core team at Commure, building autonomous systems that transform healthcare billing workflows.

About the Role

The Rejections & Denials team focuses on AI and rule-based automation to fix denied claims, turning manual tasks into auditable, automated processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Build LLM-powered automation that determines how to fix a denied claim, with rigorous evaluations, dry runs, and audit trails enabling autonomous operation on real money.
  • Design guardrails to keep automation safe, including identity checks, payer-type restrictions, duplicate-prevention logic, and dry‑run/QA gates.
  • Scale a rule engine that runs hundreds of configurable conditions and actions per customer across high transaction volumes, ensuring idempotency and full explainability for ops teams.
  • Build observability to surface edge‑case performance, producing dashboards for resubmission approval rates, denial‑to‑resubmission cycle time, and failure rates by insurance type, denial category, and site.
  • Generate appeal letters and medical‑record packets automatically, with a validation scoring system that decides what can be sent unattended.
  • Deliver a unified automations console where ops can manage all rule engines—billing, pre‑submission validation, adjustments—in a single interface.
  • Contribute to the platform’s technical direction by proposing and implementing architectural, tooling, and technology improvements.
  • Build end‑to‑end products that revolutionize revenue cycle management for providers and administrators.
  • Own end‑to‑end integration workflows from design through deployment and post‑launch monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, engineering, healthcare) to gather requirements, define approaches, and prioritize tasks based on business needs.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Conduct in‑depth code reviews, uphold best practices, and drive architectural improvements across the stack.

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency with frontend languages such as TypeScript and React.
  • Proficiency with backend languages such as Python or Go.
  • Experience with Git, GCP/AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, relational and non‑relational databases, and monitoring/alerting tools.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing end‑to‑end solutions and making architectural decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation

$170K – $240K
