Senior Software Engineer – Post Trade | Chicago

I’m working with a leading global proprietary trading firm looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer into its Post Trade engineering team in Chicago.

This is a high-impact role building and scaling the systems that sit behind a global trading operation, working across complex distributed systems with varying latency, reliability and data requirements.

What they’re looking for:

  • 5+ years’ professional experience with Python OR C++
  • Strong Linux knowledge, including performance tuning and networking
  • Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Exposure to FIX / electronic trading systems is highly desirable
  • Strong CS fundamentals and a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related discipline

You’ll be working on systems supporting the full post-trade lifecycle across a global trading business, with significant ownership over architecture and technical direction.
