Senior Software EngineerOur client, a global investment firm, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in New York, NY!Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable software systems and data pipelines using Python, Java, SQL, and Snowflake.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineering, portfolio management, operations, and compliance to deliver technology solutions aligned with business goals.Optimize application and database performance, ensuring data accuracy, availability, and security.Participate in system architecture discussions, code reviews, and design sessions.Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments.Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on the firm's technology stack.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of professional software engineering experience.Proficiency in Python, Java, and SQL.Hands-on experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse technologies.Strong understanding of software development best practices including version control, testing, and CI/CD.Solid communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience working at an investment firm or within the financial services industry.Exposure to financial data, trading systems, or investment analytics.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data architecture patterns.
