Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a fixed-term, onsite opportunity in Melbourne, FL. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and system architecture of robust Windows-based applications. You will be responsible for driving the integration of industrial automation platforms, SCADA systems, and complex communication protocols within a client-server environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Windows-based software applications and enterprise system architectures.
• Integrate industrial automation systems , including SCADA platforms, PLCs, and operational hardware.
• Implement robust communication protocols spanning GE Cimplicity, Modbus (RTU/TCP), TCP/IP, UDP, Serial Communication, and Genisys.
• Optimize application performance by managing client-server architectures, multithreading, and memory efficiency.
• Manage database solutions and maintain data integrity utilizing Microsoft SQL Server.
• Provide technical leadership through structured code reviews, advanced debugging, systems testing, and architectural guidance.

Qualifications & Skills

• 7+ years of professional experience in full-lifecycle software development.
• Expertise in programming languages , specifically C, C++, and C#/.NET.
• Deep understanding of software architecture , Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, and design patterns.
• Hands-on industrial automation experience , with a preference for Allen-Bradley PLC integration.
• Proficiency with modern development tooling , including Visual Studio, Git, and JIRA.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
