The work performed on this program is mission-critical to the government and focused on solving complex technical challenges within emerging technologies.Team members operate with autonomy while contributing to a highly technical environment delivering impactful, mission-relevant solutions.Job SummaryLeidos is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development of containerized application workflows and infrastructure automation using modern DevOps practices and cloud-native tooling. This role is suited for an engineer who demonstrates consistency in delivery and is capable of contributing across teams to enable scalable deployments, standardization efforts, and reusable application patterns.Primary ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development and maintenance of deployment pipelines and Helm chartsCollaborate with backend, frontend, and infrastructure teams to integrate servicesWork with Kubernetes tooling (e.g., Helm, GitOps) to support scalable, containerized deploymentsFollow team standards and participate in code reviews, testing, and documentationImplement and test logic for common application deployment patterns, including secrets and config mapsSupport internal initiatives to standardize and document reusable deployment templatesDebug and troubleshoot issues within containerized environmentsBasic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline with 14+ years of related experienceFamiliarity with GitOps workflows and CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD or FleetExperience working with Kubernetes manifests, Helm, and DockerUnderstanding of infrastructure-as-code conceptsWorking knowledge of Linux system operationsAbility to debug and troubleshoot within containerized environmentsClearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with polygraphDesired QualificationsEagerness to learn from and collaborate with senior team membersWillingness to work across full stack and infrastructure domainsAppreciation for automation, documentation, and code reusability
