Our client seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver cloud-native data platforms that enable data-driven, omnichannel marketing. You will define engineering standards, set technical direction, and build secure, reliable systems across Java, Python, Spark, Angular, AWS, and event-driven architectures. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, own the software development lifecycle, and mentor engineers to ensure scalable, observable, and cost-effective solutions for Customer Data Platform initiatives.

Rate: $75.00 to $65.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Deliver large-scale cloud-native data platforms on AWS using REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven applications for scalable and resilient systems.
- Work across the stack with Java, Python, Spark, TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, AWS services, event-driven architectures, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Drive performance optimization, scalability, reliability, security, governance, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with global engineering, product management, architecture, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with objectives.
- Own the end-to-end SDLC including requirements, design, development, deployment, observability, and documentation.
Experience Requirements:
- 5-8 years of software engineering with expertise in scalable UX-driven applications and distributed systems.
- Designing and building REST APIs, microservices, and Kubernetes-based distributed systems.
- Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Delta Lake, and modern big data ecosystem designs.
- Hands-on Python, Java, and Angular with knowledge of object-oriented and functional patterns.
- PySpark and Apache Spark for high-performance distributed data processing.
- Microservices development with Kubernetes for eventing and serving.
- AWS services including S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridge.
- Messaging and event-driven tech such as Kafka, SNS, SQS, plus relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Aurora, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible.
- CI/CD and DevOps using Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, Bitbucket, and GoCD with automated pipelines.
- Robust testing practices including unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems.
- Exposure to Generative AI, including LLMs, RAG, and agentic systems.
- Nice to have: PySpark with Databricks, Azure and/or GCP, and experience in privacy-safe CDPs or MarTech environments.
Education Requirements:
- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
