This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful national security work while building experience with modern software tools, Agile practices, and classified cloud environments. The responsibilities for this position include all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and automated testing within an Agile model.
In this role, the selected candidate will join a dynamic team focused on providing world-class solutions to mission customers in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesResolve various tasks as prioritized by the team product ownerEngage in the complete software development lifecycle, operating within well-defined parametersTake ownership of delivering enhancements within a system or applicationBreak down sizable tasks into manageable units for execution and provide level-of-effort estimationsCollaborate with fellow software engineers to create and document optimal technical designsEnsure compliance with Agile processes and software engineering best practicesBuild software solutions where the solution is not clearly defined while prioritizing customer mission needsResolve obstacles for the development team, working collaboratively with Product Owners, technical leadership, and engineering teamsParticipate in Scrum events and Agile ceremonies to support effective team executionDesign, develop, test, integrate, and deploy scalable software solutions supporting GEOINT operationsImplement and maintain RESTful APIs and web-based application functionalityTroubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and integration challengesSupport automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery activitiesContribute to software architecture discussions and technical solution developmentWork within classified cloud and hybrid computing environmentsSupport troubleshooting, optimization, and validation of GEOINT system behavior and data outputs across environmentsRequired QualificationsU.S. Citizenship requiredActive TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a PolygraphBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 8–12 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 6–10 years of relevant experienceExperience working as a Scrum Master for a software development or similar technical teamStrong proficiency with the following technologies:Web: Django, JQuery, Ajax, and REST APIsObject-Oriented Programming: Python, Java, and JavaScriptRelational Database: SQL/PostgresOperating Systems: Windows and LinuxVersion Control Systems: Git and GitLabExperience incorporating GEOINT domain understanding when troubleshooting, optimizing, and validating system behavior and data outputs across environmentsDeep understanding of modern software design patterns and coding standardsExperience architecting, developing, and delivering complex software systems into productionWorking knowledge of Agile development and continuous integration/continuous delivery methodologies and toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience with scripting languages such as ReactSoftware architecture experience including Client-Server and Model-View-Controller (MVC)Cloud exposure supporting multi-cloud architectures including AWS, IBM, Google, Azure, and OracleExperience with AWS services including S3, SQS, SNS, EC2, CloudFormation, and RDSCertifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer or similarExperience supporting GEOINT mission applications or intelligence systemsPay Range$130,000–$160,000 The Ennoble First pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
