Criteria for success
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form with peers & decision makers
- Demonstrate initiative when faced with limited guidance or ambiguous requirements
- Expert in modern web application technologies including TypeScript, React, NodeJS, etc.
- Experienced deploying web applications via containerization
- Proficient in building and integrating RESTful APIs and server-side logic
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering discipline
- Seven (7) years of minimum experience in a software focused engineering career (Software Engineer, Computer Science, etc.)
- Five (5) years of minimum experience developing web applications with React
- Five (5) years of minimum experience with back-end development using Node.js, including frameworks like Express.js or similar
- Experience with database technologies such as SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB)
- Mastery of software configuration management using Git.
- Experience with Container Technology (Docker / podman / etc.)
Desired Education and Experience
- Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering discipline
- Seven (7) years of experience developing web applications with modern web app libraries and frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, etc.)
- Experience with React frameworks such as Next.js or React Router
- Experience with database design, querying, and integration (e.g., ORM tools like Sequelize or Mongoose)
- Experience following GitFlow and GitOps workflows using team repository (GitHub / Gitlab / etc.)
- Demonstrable excellence in UI/UX
- Expertise with Container Technology (Docker / podman / etc.)
