Job Description

About the Role

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhancescomplex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics,novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets,real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upondocumented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews andtests software components for adherence to the design requirements anddocuments test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes softwaredevelopment and software design methodologies appropriate to the developmentenvironment. Provides specific input to the software components of systemdesign to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use ofCommercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of newdevelopment, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level toindividual software components.

Key Responsibilities

This position requires in-scope poly, within 7 years.

• Developresponsive, high-performance web applications using React and Next.js.
• Implementserver-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and dynamicrouting with Next.js
• Collaboratewith backend developers to deliver cohesive, scalable solutions.
• Optimizeapplications for speed, scalability, and SEO.
• IntegrateRESTful APIs.
• Writeclean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participatein code reviews and contribute to front-end architecture decisions withSenior Front end Engineer.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Fourteen(14) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similarscope, type,and complexity is required.
• Analyzeuser requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Designand code new software or modify existing software to add new features
• Debugexisting software and correct defects
• Integrateexisting software into new or modified systems or operating environments
• Developsimple data queries for existing or proposed databases or datarepositories
• Providerecommendations for improving documentation and software developmentprocess standards
• Developor implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance andfunctional standards
• Assistwith developing and executing test procedures for software components
• Writeor review software and system documentation Develop software solutions byanalyzing system performance standards, confer with users or systemengineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; andinvestigate problem areas
• Serveas team lead at the level appropriate to the software development processbeing used on any particular project
• Modifyexisting software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
• Design,develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis andmathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences ofdesign
• Designor implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
• Overseeone or more software development teams and ensure the work is completed inaccordance with the constraints of the software development process beingused on any particular project
• Designor implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing,system resource, or interface constraints
• Performquality control on team products
• Conferwith system engineers and hardware engineers to derive softwarerequirements and to obtain information on project limitations andcapabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
• Coordinatesoftware system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensureoperational specifications are met Implement recommendations for improvingdocumentation and software development process standards

Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active High-LevelSecurity Clearance to be considered for this position

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Other RelatedDiscipline or High School Diploma with an additional 4+ years of experience

Salary Range

205-215,000

salary range provided is a general guideline. ISSI considersseveral factors when determining compensation, including the role’sresponsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current marketconditions.
