Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform
Okta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Data Platform team, which builds foundational data services and systems that power analytics, reporting, and machine learning for Okta’s users. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and deploy scalable, high-performance data infrastructure using modern technologies such as Kinesis, Flink, Elasticsearch, and Snowflake. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting design and code reviews, mentoring engineers, and debugging production issues.
The role requires 4+ years of software development experience, proficiency in backend languages like Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript, and experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Familiarity with distributed systems, cloud computing, and data processing frameworks like Kafka, Spark, or Hadoop is a plus.
Candidates must be located in the U.S. and are eligible for a base salary ranging from $147,000 to $202,000 annually, depending on location. Okta offers equity, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
