Our work spans distributed systems, large-scale data infrastructure, LLMs, and Generative AI. We design and build best of breed systems for dealing with our complex and ever-growing platform needs that help deliver highly optimized advertising content to consumers.ResponsibilitiesBuild the foundational pieces of the next generation of Apple Ad's systemsImplement low latency, highly - available, high volume internal and external facing services in a cloud environment.Design and implement performant services created with the right principles to support rapid growth with minimal operational overheadsCollaborate with cross functional teams including Product Management, Data, SRE, etc. to design and implement systems that can handle a variety of Ads use cases.Minimum Qualifications5 or more years of industry experience building scalable micro services or data driven platforms.Strong computer science fundamentals.Prior experience with OOPS programming (eg., Java/C++ or equivalent)Familiarity with cloud paradigms ( e.g AWS or GCP )Expertise in building backend distributed systemsExperience with creating solutions using public cloud technologies and APIsStrong understanding of Micro-service design and high-scale performance tuningExpertise in relational and non relational datastoreProficiency in data processing technologies (e.g Kafka, Spark, Flink )Strong problem solving and debugging skills.A desire to work in a fast-paced work environment.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering discipline or equivalent. Master's degree preferred.Preferred Qualifications8+ years of experience in software engineeringAbility to work with and lead cross functional teamsProficiency in JavaPrior experience in advertising industry is a plusPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
