The Bits Code product is Datadog's cutting-edge coding agent, designed to take all of our rich telemetry and convert that into meaningful, impactful fixes for customers. You'll work with our product-focused engineers to design, build and secure a best-in-class sandbox environment, cloud-hosted agent infrastructure, and the product surface that will reach a large portion of Datadog's user base. We're looking for someone to own the security of this hugely important work.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement frameworks that help the team deliver secure software, force-multiplying your knowledge
- Review source code, architecture diagrams, and product specs to ensure they meet security best practices
- Contribute meaningfully to the team's architecture and code by working alongside engineers at every step of the SDLC process
- Actively contribute to core libraries for authenticating and authorizing access to our agent
Who You Are:
- 5+ YOE
- Significant exposure to distributed systems and LLM applications, including designing and maintaining them over time
- Deep knowledge of secure architecture and coding best practices
- You have demonstrated the ability to use AI coding tools in day-to-day workflows and validate, critique, and refine AI-generated output.
- Experience working on impactful products and putting the customer first, not arbitrary technical constraints
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, cutting through ambiguity to deliver well-reasoned solutions

The reasonably estimated yearly salary for this role at Datadog is: $192,000 — $240,000 USD.
