We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong leadership and mentoring skills who desires "hands on" development as an ongoing part of their role. Day to day work includes coding from the position of team lead, participating and leading design and code reviews, and actively mentoring more junior team members in both software-design and implementation. Some of our engineers use Mac OS X with Vim, some others use Linux with Sublime.

Our technology stack makes extensive use of Ruby, Redis, Cassandra, and PostgreSQL.Primary Responsibilities:Develop, design, and implement scalable and future-proof software solutions.Enhance the company's internal and client facing web portals.Solve interesting and challenging problems from refactoring to design and testing.Audit, evaluate, and refactor existing legacy code.Participate in a fast-paced agile software development lifecycle.Desired Skills and Experience:7-10 years of professional experience delivering production softwareSignificant experience working within a SaaS modelBackground managing large data storesPrior experience with large-scale systems / deploymentsExperience with big-data, NoSQL DBs or MapReduceUnderstanding of encryption and data security standardsStrong hands-on engineering skillsWell versed in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, PHP or higher level languagesManagement or team leadership experienceComfortable at a Linux promptSolid understanding of GitExcellent knowledge of server side and backend best practicesFamiliarity with various front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and Javascript.Engage with TDD and BDD regularlyTechnical team-leadership experience is a mustOur people are our greatest asset, which is why we offer a comprehensive and unique benefits package.
