Senior Software Engineer

Hybrid 4 Days a week on-site in either Burbank, CA or Glendale, CA

Our client seeks a highly independent Senior Software Engineer to support shared services platforms and assume ownership of projects transitioned from a departing senior contractor. The role requires deep AWS expertise, strong TypeScript development skills, and the ability to operate with minimal oversight while supporting multiple engineering initiatives within a collaborative team environment.

Rate: $83.00 to $93.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain AWS cloud-based applications and services.
• Support and enhance existing serverless solutions.
• Own and drive development efforts across multiple projects.
• Participate in daily standups and collaborate within a team of approximately 10 engineers.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new AWS technologies and solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on architecture and development approaches.

Experience Requirements:

• Extensive hands‑on AWS experience.
• Deep knowledge of AWS serverless technologies.
• Strong TypeScript development background.
• Experience with AWS security, networking, permissions, and infrastructure.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and code quality practices.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions.
• Preferred: experience supporting multiple projects, shared services or platform engineering, modern cloud-native design patterns, and mentoring.
