Senior Software Engineer

We're partnering with a leading investment management firm that's investing heavily in the modernization of its technology platform. This team is transforming legacy systems and building the next generation of cloud-enabled applications that support Risk Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and Quantitative teams.

This is an opportunity to join a highly visible engineering group where you'll have a direct impact on architecture, innovation, and the future of the platform.

Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid - 2 days onsite weekly)

This team is seeking an engineer who can elevate the organization , not someone who has spent years solely maintaining legacy .NET applications and fixing bugs.

The ideal candidate is:

• Someone who enjoys building new solutions rather than simply supporting existing ones

Required Qualifications

✅ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

✅ 5+ years of software engineering experience developing applications with C#/.NET

✅ Experience building and deploying cloud-native solutions (AWS preferred)

✅ Strong knowledge of:

• Distributed systems
• API design and development
• Backend architecture
• Data-intensive applications
• SQL

✅ Experience contributing to system design and architecture discussions

✅ Commitment to engineering best practices including:

• Automated testing
• Code reviews
• CI/CD
• Observability

✅ Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across engineering, product, and business teams
