These data and platform capabilities are enabling the development of AI models, edge computing architectures, and software systems that scale across fleets, products, and industries. The result will be a new generation of machines that continuously learn, improve, and deliver performance at scale.What You Will Do:Design, build, test, and deploy backend RESTful API services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.Provide day-to-day technical leadership on complex engineering problems and guide implementation decisions across features and services.Lead development of new functionality on cross-functional Agile teams and partner with product and architecture stakeholders to deliver business value.Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, pairing, and feedback that improves technical quality and team effectiveness.Drive engineering excellence through strong practices in architecture, testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.Apply AI-assisted development tools and software engineering agents to accelerate design, implementation, testing, refactoring, and documentation; define clear task context and verification criteria; and help guide team usage through code reviews, mentoring, and engineering best practices.Guide full-stack implementation tradeoffs across API, service, and UI boundaries while remaining primarily focused on backend microservice design and delivery.Contribute to application and interface design, technical documentation, and scalable integration patterns across the platform.Help identify and resolve root causes for complex production and development issues while improving system resilience over time.What You Will HaveSoftware Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.Software Product Design/Architecture: Knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into software product design and technical approaches.Software Integration Engineering: Knowledge of software integration processes and functions; ability to design, develop, and maintain interfaces and linkage to alternative platforms and software packages.Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication behaviors.Top Candidates Will HaveStrong backend engineering capability with Java 17+ and Spring Boot to design and deliver RESTful APIs using microservices principles.Proven ability to build secure, scalable platform services in a cloud environment such as AWS or Azure.Experience deploying backend services in cloud-native environments.Knowledge of AI-assisted and agentic software development workflowsAbility to review, validate, test, and refine AI-generated code and pull requests for correctness, maintainability, performance, security, and alignment with established engineering standards.Knowledge of responsible AI usage and secure coding practices in AI-assisted developmentExperience building production AI agents using PythonExperience with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraphExperience integration LLMs with external tools, APIs, databases, and retrieval systemsExperience designing evals, guardrails, and monitoring for agent reliabilityMulti-agent workflow design and memory/context managementPrompt optimization, latency reduction, and cost controlMLOps or model deployment experienceAdditional DetailsThis position requires the candidate to be based in Irving, TX (Dallas)Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.Visa sponsorship is available for this positionSummary Pay Range:$112,710.00 - $183,140.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
