Software Development Engineer In Test (Sdet)We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our offshore team. As an SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our web and mobile applications by performing shift-left, in-sprint testing, validating UI and APIs against acceptance criteria and Figma designs, and collaborating closely with developers, onsite SDETs, QA, DevOps, and product teams.This role is focused on early bug detection, UI validation, API testing, as well as unit testing, code reviews, and integration testing as part of the in-sprint quality process. Domain experiences demonstrating understanding of menus, orders, loyalty, and kitchen processes is a plus.Agile experience in collaborating within a cross-functional team to execute sprint-based testing, provide rapid feedback, and adapt to changing requirements.Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and practices.Required qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).3–6+ years of experience in:Manual UI testing (web & mobile)Agile/sprint-based testingStrong experience in:API testing using PostmanBug tracking and documentationUnit testing, code reviews, and integration testingBasic understanding of:React and React Native UI behaviorSpring Boot (Java) backend integrationsFeature-branch based testing workflowsSolid understanding of:QA methodologiesSoftware testing principlesAcceptance-based testingPreferred qualifications:Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.Experience with mobile application testing (iOS/Android simulators).CMS-based validation exposure (e.g., Strapi).Food/QSR domain experience is a strong plus.ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.Soft skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Attention to detail and a passion for quality.Self-starter with an ownership mindset.Ability to work in fast-paced sprint cycles.Engagement model:Immediate joiners preferred.Working window: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST to align with the onsite team.
