Position: Senior Software Development Engineer in Test
Location: Dallas, TX (hybrid only)

Role Summary
The Sr. SDET is responsible for deliveringhigh-quality ,compliant , andscalable software solutions throughQuality Engineering ,Test Automation ,Agile Delivery , andSoftware Development Governance . This role combinesSoftware Engineering ,Automation Framework Development ,Test Strategy Support , andQuality Engineering Practices to ensure quality is built into every stage of the software development lifecycle.Primary Responsibilities
- Contribute toQuality Engineering initiatives and applyAutomation-First ,Shift-Left , andQuality-by-Design practices.
- Support the development ofTest Strategies ,Test Approaches , andRisk-Based Testing plans for applications, APIs, services, and data platforms.
- Automate UI, API, backend, database validation , anddata quality verification scenarios , andintegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines .
- Buildreusable ,maintainable , and scalableJava-based automation solutions using sound software engineering principles and automation design patterns.
- Contribute to quality improvements throughtest coverage analysis ,defect prevention , and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Diagnose and resolve automation issues through debugging,refactoring ,test suite optimization ,flaky test remediation ,synchronization improvements , andlocator strategy enhancements .
- Participate in Agile ceremonies using Jira and collaborate with Product, Development, Architecture, and DevOps teams as needed to improve quality, testability, and delivery efficiency.
- Follow Software Development Standards, Code Review Requirements, Release Governance Processes, and maintain Requirements Traceability, Test Evidence, and Audit-Ready Documentation.
- Share knowledge and support adoption of Quality Engineering, Automation Standards, and engineering excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- 6 years of experience inSDET ,Test Automation ,Software Quality Assurance , orQuality Engineering roles.
Core Skills & Strengths
Core Technical Skills
- StrongCore Java programming skills, includingObject-Oriented Programming (OOP) ,Design Patterns ,Collections ,Exception Handling ,Concurrency ,Dependency Injection , andTest Framework Architecture .
- Hands-on experience withSelenium WebDriver , includingPage Object Model (POM) , advancedXPath andCSS locator strategies ,synchronization andwait strategies , automation stability, andflaky test reduction .
- StrongAPI Testing experience usingREST Assured , Karate, Postman, or similar tools.
- Experience withSQL ,database validation , and backend system testing.
- Experience withTestNG ,JUnit ,Maven ,Git , and modern software development practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks for enterprise applications.
- Understanding ofmicroservices architecture , service integrations, and distributed system testing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to share knowledge with team members and contribute to engineering excellence.
Quality, Governance & Agile Practices
- OpenText AQM for Test Case Management, Requirements Traceability, Test Execution, and Test Evidence Management.
- Test Approaches, Traceability Matrices, Post-Test Reports, and other required testing deliverables.
- Strong understanding ofAgile Methodologies ,Scrum Practices ,SDLC , andQuality Engineering Principles .
- Experience working within cross-functional Agile teams delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Audit Readiness, Documentation Standards, Evidence Management, and Governance Compliance.
