Senior Software Development Engineer In TestParsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team! In this role, you will design and execute test strategies that span software-hardware integration, sensor fusion, autonomy algorithms, and end-to-end system verification within a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment. You will embed quality practices, identify defects early, and support rapid iteration while meeting stringent DoD security, safety, and performance standards in a classified defense setting.What You'll Be Doing:Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test procedures for software-hardware integration, interface validation, sensor data handling, and autonomy module performancePerform manual exploratory, functional, regression, and system-level testing in integration labs and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) environmentsDesign, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts (UI, API, integration, and performance) to accelerate verification within CI/CD and MLOps pipelinesCollaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and the Scrum Master to define acceptance criteria, automate regression suites, and shift quality left in every sprintConduct integration & verification (I&V) activities, including defect triage, root-cause analysis, and verification of MOSA compliance and interoperability requirementsIntegrate automated tests into DevSecOps pipelines (static/dynamic analysis, container scanning, and model validation) to ensure secure, repeatable deploymentsSupport formal qualification testing, field demonstrations, and operational assessments for USSOCOM unmanned platformsDocument test artifacts in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and test management systems while maintaining traceability to program requirementsIdentify process improvements, champion test automation best practices, and mentor junior testers on manual and automated techniquesWork in compliance with DoD, USSOCOM, and program security requirements while sustaining high Agile velocity in a high-tempo, sometimes classified development environmentRequired Clearance:Must be a U.S.

CitizenMust possess an active Secret clearance and be willing/able to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearanceWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field and 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Test Engineer, with demonstrated proficiency in both manual testing and test automationStrong manual testing skills, including test design, exploratory testing, and execution in complex software-hardware integration environmentsSolid experience developing and maintaining automated tests using frameworks such as Selenium, PyTest, Robot Framework, Cucumber, or equivalent, with scripting proficiency in Python or similar languagesWorking knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and test integration within DevSecOps workflowsUnderstanding of systems engineering principles, interface management, and integration & verification processesWillingness to travel (25–50%)Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in an Agile/Scrum team environmentWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:Experience supporting DoD or USSOCOM programs, especially in unmanned systems, autonomy, AI/ML, or MOSA-based architectures.Hands-on background with defense-specific testing environments (integration labs, HWIL, autonomy simulation frameworks, or sensor test beds).Prior exposure to classified development workflows and cross-domain solutions.Certifications such as ISTQB, Certified Tester, or equivalent Agile testing credentials.Preferred Toolsets / Technologies: Python, Java, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, OpenShift, REST APIs, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Jira, Confluence, TAK Ecosystem Technologies, AI/ML Frameworks, Linux, AWS, AzureSalary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00We value our employees and want our employees to take care of their overall wellbeing, which is why we offer best-in-class benefits such as medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k), life insurance, flexible work schedules, and holidays to fit your busy lifestyle!
