Job Summary
Amazon Robotics is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support the development of a next-generation Quality Control platform that uses 3D cameras, IoT devices, and cloud-based machine learning to inspect robotic storage racks before deployment in Amazon fulfillment centers.
This role focuses on building and productionizing AWS-based IoT data pipelines, backend services, and cloud integrations that enable reliable processing of image and video data at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines using AWS IoT Core, MQTT, Lambda, and S3.
- Build scalable backend applications and APIs using Python.
- Process and manage high-volume image and video data from camera-based inspection systems.
- Integrate cloud services with internal applications and APIs.
- Develop and execute integration testing strategies to ensure system reliability.
- Review, validate, and improve AI-generated code before production deployment.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, monitoring, and deployment automation.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and data flow issues across IoT and cloud environments.
- Support validation testing, production rollout, and post-deployment stabilization activities.
- Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to deliver key project milestones.
Required Skills
- Strong experience developing production applications with Python.
- Hands-on experience with AWS IoT Core, MQTT, AWS Lambda, and Amazon S3.
- Experience building device-to-cloud or IoT data ingestion pipelines.
- Strong understanding of serverless architecture and cloud-native development.
- Experience integrating APIs and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, automation, and cloud deployment practices.
- Experience with integration testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Comfortable working with and reviewing AI-assisted code development tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Computer Vision, image processing, or video analytics experience.
- Exposure to Machine Learning or anomaly detection solutions.
- Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson or edge-device platforms.
- Experience in IoT, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Smart Devices, or Connected Products.
