- Define the architecture for the endpoint platform, Windows services, and supporting cloud systems
- Design automation and AI-powered actions on customer devices, including permissions, safeguards, rollback mechanisms, and auditability
- Establish architectural standards, engineering best practices, and guidelines for AI-generated code in production systems
- Evaluate technical solutions, conduct proofs of concept, and recommend scalable and secure designs
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to globally distributed platform engineering teams
- Drive architectural decisions and maintain documentation of designs, standards, and key decisions
- Monitor emerging technologies, cloud platforms, and AI tooling and identify improvement opportunities
- Own non-functional platform architecture, ensuring reliability, performance, security, scalability, and cost efficiency
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience building applications in C++ or .NET
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Cassandra, or ScyllaDB
- Deep understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, high-availability platforms, microservices, and containerized environments
- Experience designing systems that perform automated or AI-driven actions on managed endpoints, including security controls and auditing requirements
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and understanding of appropriate production use of AI-generated code
- Experience building and operating solutions in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure automation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
