About the Opportunity

The Intersect Group is partnering with a leading organization in the retail distribution industry undergoing a significant digital transformation. We are seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of an enterprise Snowflake data platform supporting data integration, analytics, governance, and Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.

This position requires working onsite in Collierville, TN, five days per week. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate for this fully onsite opportunity.

This is a highly technical, hands-on architecture position for someone who can independently design complex data solutions, make strategic technical decisions, and execute with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable enterprise solutions within Snowflake.
• Establish and enhance Snowflake security, including role-based access control (RBAC), data masking, and business-unit-specific access.
• Lead Snowflake performance tuning, query optimization, compute management, and cost optimization.
• Design enterprise data models, including dimensional modeling, Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Develop architectural solutions supporting enterprise data integration, governance, and MDM initiatives.
• Implement resource monitoring, usage tracking, and cost allocation across business units.
• Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into technical architecture and implementation plans.
• Proactively identify architectural limitations and recommend improvements to scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams while remaining hands-on with Snowflake platform architecture.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture.
• Proven experience in a dedicated Data Architect or Snowflake Architect role, with ownership of enterprise architecture design and implementation.
• Deep hands-on experience designing, implementing, and optimizing Snowflake data platforms.
• Strong understanding of Snowflake security, RBAC, data governance, and access controls.
• Demonstrated experience with performance tuning, workload optimization, and cost management.
• Advanced SQL and Python experience.
• Expertise in enterprise data modeling, integration, and cloud data architectures.
• Experience supporting MDM, data quality, and enterprise data governance initiatives.
• Ability to independently assess technical challenges, make architecture decisions, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Strong communication skills and experience partnering with technical and business leadership.
• Ability to work onsite in Collierville, TN, five days per week. This is not a remote or hybrid position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake resource monitors, business-unit chargeback, and multi-team platform governance.
• Experience with Salesforce or other enterprise application integrations.
• Familiarity with MDM/PIM platforms and enterprise master data initiatives.
• Experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence tools.
• Snowflake or relevant cloud architecture certifications.
• Experience supporting retail, distribution, supply chain, or large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
