About the role
As a Senior Site Manager at Avania, you will play a key role in supporting clinical trial site operations from feasibility through site initiation , helping ensure sites are prepared, organized, and equipped to begin study activities successfully. In this role, you will serve as a knowledgeable partner to sites and internal teams, guiding essential document collection, protocol and training readiness, and start-up coordination with confidence and clarity. What differentiates this senior-level position is the ability to perform remote monitoring activities, including remote source data verification (SDV) , making it well suited for professionals with prior CRA or in-house monitoring experience who are looking to apply their expertise in a less travel-intensive role. You will collaborate closely with CRAs and cross-functional stakeholders, bring structure and sound judgment to site-facing work, and may also provide mentorship to more junior team members. With meaningful ownership, broad exposure across the site lifecycle, and the opportunity to help drive quality site readiness, this position offers a strong next step for an experienced clinical research professional.
What you'll be doing
- Manage and support clinical trial sites from feasibility through site initiation , helping drive readiness for study start-up activities
- Guide sites through essential document collection , protocol understanding, and training requirements to support timely and compliant activation
- Build strong working relationships with sites, providing clear communication and practical direction on what is needed to get set up appropriately
- Perform remote monitoring activities , including remote source data verification (SDV) , in alignment with study and sponsor requirements
- Review site documentation and study information with a detail-oriented approach to help ensure completeness, accuracy, and operational readiness
- Partner with field-based CRAs by supporting site-related activities that can be effectively managed remotely
- Apply prior monitoring or site management knowledge to identify issues early, escalate when needed, and help maintain momentum across start-up and site support tasks
- Contribute at a senior level by sharing expertise, supporting consistency in ways of working, and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
