$220,000–$250,000 + bonus + equity
We're seeking a Senior Signal Integrity Engineer to lead the design, modelling, and validation of high-speed optical interconnects for next-generation AI data centres.
You'll own signal integrity across electrical and electro-optical channels, ensuring reliable performance across PCB, package, connector, and photonic interfaces while meeting demanding BER and high-speed performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead signal integrity for high-speed links, including channel modelling, loss, crosstalk, jitter, and equalisation (FFE, DFE, CTLE).
- Define and optimise channel architectures across PCB, package, connectors, and photonic interfaces.
- Drive SI design reviews and collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Support electrical-to-optical interfaces, including driver, modulator, and receiver paths.
- Guide high-speed PCB design and lead lab validation using eye diagrams, BER, VNA, TDR, and oscilloscopes.
- Correlate simulation with measurement data and support photonic IC integration.
- Collaborate on FPGA-based evaluation platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field.
- Experience with signal integrity in 100–200G+ per-lane systems.
- Strong background in channel modelling, jitter analysis, and SI simulation.
- Hands-on experience with FFE, DFE, CTLE, BERTs, VNAs, and oscilloscopes.
- Solid understanding of high-speed PCB design and hardware integration.
Remote (US based) working with trips to Santa Barbara, CA.
What's on Offer
- $220K–$250K base + bonus + equity
- End-to-end ownership of signal integrity for next-generation optical interconnects
