Senior Security Specialist (Direct Hire)

ETAS Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Professional Project Services, Inc (Pro2Serve), is seeking a Senior Security Specialist to work at our Lexington, KY office. The role supports the Department of Energy (DOE) Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office (PPPO) with technical and management services contributing to the safe and cost-effective implementation of the "One PPPO" mission.

Responsibilities

• Review submittals, program assessments, and coordinate S&S activities.
• Develop draft response communications to DOE contractors and stakeholders.
• Conduct Safeguards and Security Assessments in all S&S areas.
• Complete routine data entry on SSIMS and USSIMS systems.
• Conduct personnel badging actions in coordination with site personnel security offices.
• Oversee security aspects of facility renovations and upgrades.
• Investigate and handle all IOSC's at Lexington facilities.
• Maintain POC relationship with local emergency response agencies.
• Ensure PAP testing is maintained in accordance with PPPO Performance Assurance Plan and DOE Orders.
• Assist with the procurement, management and maintenance of Lexington facilities AACS and Badging.
• Oversee any S&S corrective action plans for the Lexington facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited university is desired; 11+ years of DOE/DoD related security programs experience and working experience in Safeguards and Security programs may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
• Experience with contractor program oversight and contract execution and related tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• High professionalism in the production of deliverables and in interactions with employees and client personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in S&S issues in a D&D environment.
• Proficiency in performing DOE Safeguards and Security tasks related to Program Planning and Management, Physical Protection, Information Security, Personnel Security, and Foreign Visits and Assignments.
• Experience with performing DOE Assessments, Surveys, Corrective Action Plans, and Survey & Comprehensive Self-Assessment Report development.

Federal Government Clearance

Position may require obtaining a government clearance, background investigation, and drug screening. Subsequent reinvestigations may be required.
