Senior Security Engineer

The Senior Security Engineer will design and build scalable security capabilities across a cloud-native SaaS environment. This hands-on role focuses on security engineering, automation, AI/LLM security, cloud security, identity, detection engineering, and internal security tooling.

Mandatory Requirements:

• 8+ years of hands-on Security Engineering or related cybersecurity experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong software engineering background with experience building production-grade security tools, platforms, and automation.
• Strong proficiency in Python or a similar programming language.
• Experience with APIs, open-source technologies, automation, and cloud-native services.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, identity, networking, operating systems, and modern security practices.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, WAF, network security, cloud security, SaaS security, IAM, and security monitoring.
• Experience applying AI to security engineering or security operations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Build security platforms, APIs, automation, detections, and internal tooling.
• Develop scalable solutions for vulnerability management, detection engineering, incident response, IAM, and security operations.
• Design security controls for AI applications, LLMs, agents, and AI development workflows.
• Address AI risks including prompt injection, data leakage, excessive permissions, misuse, and insecure integrations.
• Build detections-as-code across cloud, identity, endpoint, SaaS, and application environments.
• Conduct architecture reviews and threat modeling for cloud, APIs, infrastructure, and AI-enabled applications.
• Develop custom security tools and integrations that reduce manual security operations.
• Partner with engineering teams to implement secure-by-design architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building internal security products or developer-focused security tooling.
• Strong knowledge of AI/LLM security and secure AI development practices.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust, modern identity architectures, and cloud-native security controls.
• CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GCFA, or similar certification.
