Leading cybersecurity initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs, the fully remote Senior ISSO Security Analyst will manage Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authorization to Operate (ATO) activities, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements while developing security documentation and providing expert recommendations. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate RMF Steps 0-6 activities for ATO packages, ensuring compliance with VA cybersecurity policies and FISMA Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, including System Security Plans and Security Assessment Reports, while tracking authorization milestones Identify cybersecurity risks and provide security guidance for system implementations, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders Required Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field with 10+ years of IT experience, or 20+ years of IT experience in lieu of a degree Extensive experience supporting all RMF lifecycle activities and maintaining FISMA security documentation Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls and federal cybersecurity compliance requirements Demonstrated ability to lead client-facing meetings and present complex cybersecurity topics Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust Clearance
