Title: Senior SDET / Senior Software Development Engineerin Test – Java

Duration: 12 months

Location: Chicago, IL (will need to come into office 3x aweek)

Need someone with strong Java coding skills who can build an end-to-end testing framework that is reusable, scalable, and long-lasting.

The candidate must be hands-on with coding, as there will be a Glider coding test, and the interview process will also include a coding assessment.

They should have experience with BDD frameworks and Cucumber, since the team uses that framework.

AWS experience is a strong plus, and candidates with prior automotive industry experience would be an added advantage.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

• Take ownership inunderstanding business requirements/Client and develop test strategy/testplan

Typical task breakdown:

• Develop test automationcode for Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), ofsystems, infrastructure, and test framework.
• Plan, design, develop,and maintain API test automation framework that facilitates automationscripting, execution, and analysis of results
• Provide technicalleadership and mentoring for test engineers on multipleapplications/projects onshore and offshore; train and mentor project teammembers to create, execute, analyze, and maintain automated regressionsuites
• Coordinate with productowner to resolve open issues/enhancements/upgrades and understand the useof a specific functionality as needed
• Develop automatedfunctional scripts using tools such as Java, Karate, JMeter.
• Perform exploratory andmanual testing of the product suite as appropriate
• Provide expertise intesting methodologies, best practices, and standards
• Position will be onsitehybrid starting day 1. Interviews may also be onsite

Education & Experience Required:

• Years of experience:8-10 yrs experience
• Degree requirement:Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience

Required Technical Skills

• Strong design anddevelopment skills in two or more of the following technologies and tools:Java (3-5 years) Cucumber(3-5 years), JBehave or other BDD testingframeworks
• At least 8 years of testautomation framework design
• Strong experience intesting Webservices (REST APIs) (3+5 years)
• Proven experiencedeveloping test scripts, test cases, and test data
• The ability to writequeries in SQL or other relational databases
• 3+ years of experiencein developing scenariobased performance testing using JMeter
• Experience testing fullstack and integration testing with 3rd parties
• End-to-end systemintegration testing experience for software platforms
• Hands on experience withPython
• development experiencein AWS Cloud technology
• Experience in TDD,continuous integration, code review practice is strongly desired
• Experience with Apigeeor other API gateways is a plus
• Experience with DevOpsconcepts and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Jenkins, Git)
• At least 2 years workingon an Agile team with a solid understanding of Agile/Lean practices.
• Understanding of a microservice Architecture
• Experience load andperformance testing
