Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer, Fintech
New York, NY (Hybrid, 2 days in office) | $170,000 – $210,000 base + equity
I’m working with a well-funded New York fintech. They’re scaling their engineering team and want a Senior Rails Engineer to take real ownership of their core platform.
What you’ll work on
- Payments, ledgers and banking integrations in a mature Rails codebase
- APIs connecting to banks, payment processors and data providers
- Performance and reliability on systems where accuracy really matters
- Mentoring engineers and shaping architecture as the platform grows
What they’re looking for
- 5+ years in software engineering, with strong Ruby on Rails experience
- Solid PostgreSQL and API design skills
- A testing-first mindset (RSpec or Minitest)
- Bonus: fintech, payments or compliance experience (KYC/AML, PCI)
The package
- Base salary of $170,000 – $210,000, depending on experience
